NovaCool Extinguishes Magnesium (Class D) Fires

NovaCool UEF (Universal Extinguishing Foam) is ideally suited for putting out car fires. NovaCool does extinguish Class D Fires - the ones involving metals that burn, such as magnesium, found in many car engines or blocks. Magnesium, in particular, spatters like crazy when hit with water.  Think about a road flare.  They are powered by magnesium.  If  you've ever watched one of them burn, you get the idea of how hot they burn and how they can sputter or splatter.
Here is a video provided by Flame Management International under whom we operate.

  1. This is great product! I bought it for my somewhat remote home. I feel it will give me a chance to take care of a fire before it gets out of control with much greater capacity than a 5lb fire extinguisher from Home Depot... one other great thing for a property owner somewhat off the grid is you can spray your home, your trees and the landscaping around your home with NovaCool to PREVENT a fire if a forest fire or grass fire moves through. The effect of the retardant lasts up to 2 days, with some coverage likely for a few more days after that. You could spray and run if you had to, and increase your chance of still having a home many fold. I have seen a video of a fire department putting out a ground fire with traditional means, and then doing the same fire with NovaCool and the difference was outstanding: 10 seconds for NovaCool and 2 minutes with the standard water fire hose. I also saw a video of the retardant effect which impressive. I do not see how you could ever be wrong with this level of protection if your local fire department is more than 10-15 minutes away from your home. I bought mine at www.swfirefightingfoam.com and consider them to be a good vendor with prompt and attentive service.
